SHIFT 

The SHIFT Project aims to provide wastewater disposal infrastructure facilities to 200,000 people living in South and West coastal areas namely Negambo, Galle/Unawatuna and Kelaniya/ Peliyagoda. First phase of SHIFT includes provision of wastewater infrastructure for Negambo city, Feasibility Studies, detailed design and tender documentation for Galle/Unawatuna and Kelaniya/Peliyagoda areas, pro-poor fund to provide sanitation facilities for the low income people in the project area. In addition, it will provide a Technical Assistance (TA) program to provide recommendation to enhance the water and sanitation sector institutional framework, ensure its sustainable financing and to implement a sewerage management skills development plan.
