Water Reclamation Section (NW) was established in 2018 by NWSDB to provide all the necessary wastewater treatment solutions for North Western Province.
At present the Kurunegala Sewage Treatment plant which is operated by Water reclamation Section (NW) provides services for more than 40,000 beneficiaries in Kurunegala Municipal Limits. Water reclamation section (NW) provide consultancy services regarding wastewater treatment systems for Government Organizations, Hospitals, BOIs . Apart from that Water Reclamation Section carries out providing the necessary technical support to implement the Sanitation Master Plan in Sri Lanka.

We provide faecal sludge treatment facilities for gully bowser services.

We offer training programs for various government institution regarding wastewater reuse.
